In doing so, we put on masks that are seen as a way to classify us but at the same time, amplifies our differences. In the course of holding on to these difference (physical, social, character) the human tendency to see others as less human than ourselves resulting from a lack of shared value becomes clear.
In order to humanize ourselves in the face of others, some ponder on blending in better if…I took off my mask? I lost my accent? I shed my skin? And In doing so question the value of their roots.
